Located at the interchange of State Highway One and Broadlands Road, TW Property is managing the complete development of a 47,230m² site into a brand-new commercial and industrial park. TW Construction managed the first first stage with tenants Hog Haulage and Carters tenancies completed in early 2025. Further stages are due for completion in 2026.

A new road was established to support the development, and approvals were needed from Transpower, due to overhead powerlines and from Waka Kotahi, due to the proximity to a major State Highway. Resource consent for the large development was also navigated through the Taupō District Council. We are honoured to acknowledge the gifting of the name Ngāwha for the newly constructed road servicing our development, meaning “boiling water” from Ngāti Hinerau and Ngāti Hineure.

The development is divided into multiple lots for a mix of commercial and industrial use. A custom-built premise for the transport company Hog Haulage occupies 1.11 hectares, featuring two new buildings with warehousing, yard, and office space. Additionally, a second building for the national trade retailer Carters includes 1,700m² of warehousing and office space, along with yard space, on an 8,000m² lot.

Two of the lots will provide for six business tenancies, ranging in size from 540m² to 818m² and two vacant lots (lots 11 and 13) remain uncommitted. The TW trades businesses currently tenant an existing building on the development site.

This central development will provide for Taupo’s continuing growth as a regional commercial and industrial hub.
