TW Construction has successfully worked on various structural strengthening and restoration works for St John’s College. The gym remediation works included seismic strengthening and a full building reclad. The scope involved re-cladding and re-roofing the existing structure, adding a new canopy roof, and performing structural strengthening of the foundations and steel framework. To increase airflow and prevent any future moisture damage, five commercial rotary roof ventilators were installed.
Inside the gym, we reconfigured the changing and ablution spaces, replaced water-damaged wall and ceiling linings, and upgraded the linings to enhance fire safety, which included re-routing internal plumbing. The kitchen also required new roof linings and repairs to address water damage.
Block E received additional works, including structural strengthening through steel insertions and concrete columns. This block also had new roofing and flashings installed.
Throughout the project, TW Painting provided external painting services for internal classrooms, the new gym ablution block, and the external building cladding. TW Roofing were a key contractor for the re-roofing of the gymnasium and Block E.
